Waratahs Sponsors Tour - a long haul to Dunedin , arrival at 3.30 am Saturday
A technical problem with the Virgin Plane meant that we were unable to land at the scheduled stop of Queenstown on Friday. The flaps on the wings would not advance which meant that we were forced to go the Christchurch airport for a " high speed " landing ( not my favorite ). This was due to the fact that we needed the length of Christchurch's runway to stop the plane on the runway. Virgin were pretty disappointing and could not assist with replacement planes or buses which was a bit ordinary.
With the connections through rugby and the great efforts of the Tahs tour coordinators we managed to get a bus and drive for 4 hours to Dunedin , which was our scheduled stop for the game the next day after. The planned sightseeing in Queenstown. Bye bye Queenstown! , not meant to happen. Virgin did supply some food vouchers which got smashed at the Christchurch airport bar on beers where we had a 3.5 hour wait for the bus. Everyone stayed in good humor and took the opportunity to bond at the bar before the bus trip.

Recycling at your supermarket - Europeans are well ahead in sustainability
Not only do you bring your own bag to the supermarket ( mandatory ) and there is also an opportunity to bring your recycling including light-globes, mobile phones and used batteries. I know Deb will love this!!!
Paris panoramic shot - weather bleak but fine
This is a panoramic effect shot taken on a small Sony camera which doubles and an underwater camera.
Its the only camera I have with me this trip and takes quite good photos ( with the exception of the copmpression to allow image on the blog ) All pics on the blog have been shot with this.
